Hello, I am facing an issue with GitHub Copilot. Randomly, when I am using it, the extension will get logged out. This is very frustrating, especially when I have multiple chat windows open. This causes me to burn 5-6x the amount of tokens. After finally solving another bug that caused the same issue (all chat's stopping at once, with no error), this started happening, weirdly though, with no logs. Finally I recorded it to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Then I saw, copilot was randomly getting logged out, at the exact same time the chats all stop. For reference, I am running 4 chats with Claude Opus at once, meaning every time this happens, it costs me 12 premium requests, and it happens frequently, the current 4 messages have had about 5-10 retries each right now, so probably over 75 wasted premium requests. Logging in and out does nothing, and it doesn't really appear to be a actual logout, more like some sort of transient auth issue, as if I just click open folder, then click on the current folder, it goes away.
I am on Copilot Pro +, and because of this and another issue, 4 days into the billing period, I am at 40% of my quota. Not only that, simple requests that should take one message take 5-6 hours to finally finish, because every time it stops, it has to regather context, then it does a little bit of work and logs out then stops again. I'm in VScode insiders, this has happened in normal VScode too.
Please fix this, @martinwoodward @mgriffin @otter-computer @davidstaheli
