Hi everyone,

My student pack application rejected due to following reasons;

Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your last name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information. If you have only a single legal name, enter it in both the first and last name fields of your GitHub billing information.
Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your first name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information. Variations of your name and nicknames are unacceptable.
You are unlikely to be verified until you have completed your GitHub user profile with your full name exactly as it appears in your academic affiliation document. Please do not use a variation of your name or a nickname. Once you have updated your profile information log out and log back into GitHub before re-applying.

I am sure that my name on the academic document i provided exactly matches with my name on github profile, i also added my name and surname information in billing information section. I could not understand why it is getting recejted for this reason. Is there anyone who have same problem and any suggestion for solution?

Hi, I faced a similar issue earlier, and usually the rejection happens due to small mismatches in identity verification. Here are a few things you should double-check:
Exact Name Match
Your GitHub profile name (not username) must exactly match your academic document.
No extra spaces, no initials, no short forms.
Example:
If document says Vijay Rajpoot, don’t use Vijay R or Vijay Raj.
Billing Information
Go to GitHub → Settings → Billing
Ensure first name and last name are entered correctly and match your document.
GitHub Profile (Important)
Update your Full Name in profile settings
Avoid nicknames or stylized names
After updating, log out and log in again before reapplying
Academic Document Quality
Must clearly show:
Your full name
Institution name
Current enrollment (recent date if possible)
Avoid blurry or cropped images
Use Official Email
Apply using your college email ID (.edu / institutional email) if available
This increases approval chances a lot
Wait Before Reapplying
After fixing everything, wait 24–48 hours before submitting again

When submitting documents, the system only allows photos taken with a computer camera. However, the camera on my laptop has a narrow shooting range and takes blurry photos. Could you please add a function to upload supporting documents for academic verification manually? Also, please allow us to submit URLs provided to students by the school’s official website. This way, we can upload clearer materials and get our verification confirmed faster. Thank you.
